The People

Lalit Paryani

During his years in college, Lalit decided to take it upon himself to study the craft of filmmaking. Limited by the access to the resources to dissect and study the art, he fell back on the very basic yet uncommon method of analysing and understanding the craft. Through his immense desire to watch as many films as possible in an attempt to learn and review the process, Lalit picked up the interest in making his own films.

Not wanting to limit himself to just one piece of the puzzle, Lalit aims to take up all possible responsibilities in the process of conceptualising, producing, and presenting a film.

Drawing inspiration from legends such as Christopher Nolan and Quentin Tarantino, whom he believes were responsible for igniting the required spark, Lalit tries to craft a taste of his own blend into what he writes. Having received no formal training in any of the processes involved, Lalit tries to learn from the guidelines available while at the same time tries not to follow a particular set of rules.

Tarun Pancholia

The bridge that led Tarun into the world of filmmaking was his passion for music. He developed a keen ear for the art of music at an early age, which has since been a monumental part of his life. Picking up on the intricacies of developing and presenting a film was a challenge Tarun wanted to learn in a more traditional way - doing by seeing.

Having no formal education in the art of filmmaking, Tarun decided to allow the films he watched to be his guide. From watching films to be entertained, Tarun's gauge gradually shifted to learning the techniques used in perfecting the creation of moving pictures.

Being transported to an entirely different realm after listening to tracks composed by A.R.Rahman, Tarun aimed to bring his ideas to life through the wonderful medium of music. While looking through the lens, Tarun derives inspiration from his personal heroes such as Christopher Nolan, Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese, Woody Allen, and Aamir Khan.
